Day 8 – Saturday, March 2
Day Summary
- Saw remains of the Baths of Diocletian
- Walked the Spanish Steps and shopped
- Explored the preserved remains of the Thermae Antoninianae (Roman bath house)
- Had our final lunch at an upscale restaurant near the Piazza Navona
- Completed shopping and enjoying the day
- Everyone packed and ate dinner
- All are ready to return home!

Day Summary
- Headed out early to see the Catacombs of Priscilla
- Did some various shopping on the way back to the condo
- Visited various temples and popular destinations nearby
- Purchased food to eat in at the condo
- Enjoyed a great “family” dinner

Day Summary
- Some enjoyed breakfast at a local cafe
- Headed to the Vatican Museum
- After lunch, a needed break was enjoyed
- Purchased food for a picnic lunch at the Trevi Fountain
- Enjoyed dinner and chatting at the Trevi Fountain

Day 5 – Wednesday, February 27
Day Summary
- Rode subway to Vatican and stood in Saint Peter’s Square for about an hour and a half to have spots for the address
- Witnessed Pope Benedict XVI’s final public address
- Marvelled at the Pantheon
- Ate pizza lunch near Pantheon
- Viewed Roman Forum from high point
- Browsed the Capitoline Museum
- Discovered the Piazza del Campidoglio
- Enjoyed supper outside

Day 4 – Tuesday, February 26
Day Summary
- Took the Metro to Vatican City
- Participated in the Scavi (archaeological) tour
- Had lunch at “American Bar” nearby the Vatican
- Viewed the inside of St. Peter’s Basilica
- Climbed 500+ stairs to the top of the dome to view Rome
- Toured Castel del San Angelo
- Enjoyed “the best” Gelato after dinner

- Visited Colosseum (in the rain)
- Saw the Arches of Constantine and Titus

- Temple of Romulus
- Senate House
- Temple of Titus and Vespasian
- Temple of Saturn
- Several large basilicas
- Temple of Vesta
- Went up the Palatine Hill
- Farnese Gardens
- House of Domitian
- House of Augustus
- Palatine Museum
- Took in the Church of Maria Maggiore with obelisk
- Took the Metro [subway] to San Giovanni and saw the baptistery
- Saw the Sacred Stairs
- Went down the street to Santa Croce for the relics of the crucifixion
- Walked to San Clemente

- Rode a taxi to condominium and moved in
- Explored surrounding area by foot
